An Android point-of-sale and inventory app built for a restaurant owner who planned to offer the service to other businesses.

Context

Built in 2018 for a restaurant owner who needed to manage daily operations and planned to offer the service to other businesses.

The problem

The restaurant needed a mobile tool for sales and inventory. The product also needed a foundation that could grow into a service for other operators.

What I did

• Built the Android client with Cordova.
• Developed point-of-sale and inventory workflows for employees.
• Built the PHP and MySQL backend that supported the mobile app.

Technical highlights

Cordova delivered the mobile client while PHP and MySQL handled business data and the application backend.

Outcome

Development ended in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the restaurant business. The archived screenshots show the original app.
